Quick answer (TL;DR):

A redeemed CashtoCode eVoucher cannot be refunded. The value has already moved to the merchant. Unused codes can sometimes be returned through the reseller, depending on its policy. The merchant is responsible for any service issue after redemption, not CashtoCode.

Why redeemed eVouchers are not refundable

The moment you enter a PIN at a merchant checkout, the full value transfers to your merchant account and the voucher balance drops to zero. This is by design: the eVoucher works like handing over cash. Once the money is in the merchant’s system, CashtoCode has no mechanism to reverse the transfer. Refunding the PIN would require pulling funds back out of the merchant, which the payment infrastructure does not support.

If you are unhappy with the service you paid for, the refund path goes through the merchant. For example, a CashtoCode Casino refund moves the balance back to your casino wallet, not back onto the original PIN.

Unused codes: can I get my money back?

Sometimes yes. Each reseller sets its own refund policy for unused vouchers. Contact the reseller you originally bought from with your order number and the unredeemed PIN. If the code has not been entered at any merchant, most resellers can deactivate it and process a refund within their stated window, usually 14 to 30 days from purchase. Once the code has been redeemed, even partially, the answer is final and no refund is possible through the reseller.

International buyers should contact the reseller directly with the order confirmation and unredeemed PIN. Refund processing times vary by reseller but expect 3 to 7 business days for unused codes.

What if my voucher was bought from a scam site?

That is the hardest case. Vouchers bought outside the authorised resellers are often invalid or already used. CashtoCode cannot refund a code that never came through the official channel. Always buy from one of the listed resellers to keep your purchase protected.

Frequently asked questions

Can I cancel a CashtoCode eVoucher order before it is delivered?

In rare cases yes, if the reseller has not yet generated or sent the code. Contact the reseller’s support team as quickly as possible after placing the order. Once the code has been issued, cancellation is usually no longer possible, though the reseller may still accept a return of the unused code under its standard refund terms.

Who handles the refund: CashtoCode or the reseller?

The reseller handles all refund requests. CashtoCode does not process refunds to end users directly. The reseller you purchased from verifies your order, checks whether the code has been redeemed, and processes the return if it is still unused.

Worked example

You buy a ₹4,150 (roughly \$50) eVoucher, decide not to use it, and contact the reseller within the hour. If unredeemed, most resellers will deactivate and refund the \$50 to your card. Your bank then converts that \$50 back to INR on the refund date, if the rupee has moved against the dollar in the meantime, you might see ₹4,080 or ₹4,220 land, not necessarily ₹4,150.

Will TCS I paid on the original purchase be refunded too?

Generally, Tax Collected at Source is adjustable against your income tax liability when filing returns, rather than automatically reversed by the reseller, check with your bank or a tax advisor.

Can unused vouchers be refunded to UPI?

No, since the original purchase wasn’t made via UPI, any refund goes back to the original payment method.

What if my card was declined mid-refund?

Contact the reseller’s support with your order ID; most will offer an alternate refund method if the original card is no longer valid.
